Barbara initially became a Citizen Advocate in 2001, and went on to join the DA staff team as a Development Worker. In 2023 she retired, after enjoying 22 years matching advocacy partnerships and seeing the real difference Citizen Advocacy could make to the life of a vulnerable person.
Barbara is passionate about enabling people to have a voice and be fully included in our society, and has continued as a Citizen Advocate for the past 2 years. She looks forward to using her experiences and knowledge of advocacy as a DA Trustee.
