And we are off!  Day 1 of our sponsored Coast to Coast walk began this morning.

Hi Folks

We started our walk from Kirkby Stephen today.We started the walk from Bollam Cottage at Kirby Stephen (pictured below).

We then hiked to the Nine Standards (pictured below).

Everyone is fit and well with 14 miles completed.   It wasn’t all hard work as we had time to stop for tea and scones at Ravenseat Farm about two miles from Keld (pictured below).  Aren’t we a happy bunch of hikers!

There is still time to donate as our walk will not be complete until the 10th of June.

Remember we are also providing a bottle of spirits or food hamper to the value of £15 for the sponsor (who donates £10 or more) and provides the nearest guesstimate of the number of steps I take in completing the walk.  The link to my fund raising page is appended below.
